Asia Argento is an Italian actress and film director who was born into a large family of both. She's taken on these two careers for herself. Sogni e bisogni, directed by Sergio Citti and starring Asia Argento, at nine, was her very first film. In 1988 The Church, a film by Michele Soavi The Church was directed by Michele Soavi and she played in the role of Cristina Comencini's Zoo. Red Wood Pigeon, directed by Moretti in 1989, was her role in the role of Nanni Moretti's young daughter. Close Friends (written and directed by Michele Placido) was when Asia's acting career took off. She played roles that ranged from very young before becoming more mature. Cannes International Film Festival was a great movie's success. Trauma was her first film produced with her father. Her mother Daria Nicoledi, was Argento's most beloved actress. In Trauma she played an anorexic seeking her parents' murderer. The Phantom of the Opera The film, made by her late father and is the final of three movies she's been involved in. Asia also wrote a few short stories that were published in a variety of magazines.
